City to hold City Heights Project Area Committee (PAC) Election
City Heights PAC Annual Election October 13, 2008
The City Heights Project Area Committee (PAC) is a 20-member advisory group that consults with and advises the City of San Diego Redevelopment Agency on projects that affect the residents of the community. The City Heights PAC will hold its annual election on October 13, 2008 from 5:30 PM-8:00 PM, at the Metro Career Center Office Building Conference Room. (3910 University Ave. – City Heights). If you would like represent your community as a PAC member please fill out the candidate registration form by October 8, 2007 at 5:00 p.m., to register for the election. Candidates will be given the opportunity to make a speech during a candidate forum from 5:30 P.M.-6:00 P.M. before the regular PAC meeting on Monday October 13, 2008.
9 Seats Open for Election Include:
- Three (3) Residential Owner/Occupants
- Two (2) Residential Tenants
- One (1) Business Owner South of Polk
- Three (3) Community Organization At-Large
Candidates and voters must be at least 18 years of age and provide proof of residency, business or income property ownership or designation as a candidate by a community organization in the City Heights Redevelopment Project Area. Candidate information with eligibility documentation as outlined in the Voter/Candidate Registration: Checklist of Documents to Show Eligibility (PDF: 158K) form must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, prior to the PAC election, for candidates to be eligible to run for a seat. Voters must bring the proper documentation, as outlined in the PAC Formation Procedures, with valid photo identification to the election to vote.
