Youth Basketball League
Winter Youth Basketball Registration will begin November 24th and continue through January 2009. The season runs from January to March 2009. ALL players must have a valid birth certificate (proof of age) and completed liability waiver at the time of registration. Currently taking registration.
Ages: 6 to 14 years old (Birthday cutoff date is March 6, 2009)

Pee Wee Sports
Designed to teach youngsters the basic fundamentals and skills of Soccer, Basketball, Baseball and more in a fun environment.  Next five week session begins in January 2009. Ages: 3 to 7 years old
Session: Friday’s from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $40.00 (T-shirt included)

History of the Center

The Tecolote Recreation Center was built in 1968 on land that in the 1920's and 30's was one of the most popular motorcycle racing areas in the county. In the 50's the land was used as a dairy farm. The owner of the dairy deeded his 7.8 acres to the City to be used primarily for youth baseball activities.
