Recreation Center Hours
Monday to Wednesday:
1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday: 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10 :00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Cooking Class - Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for kids 8 to 17 years old. Cost is $8.00 per month and registration is taken on the first Thursday of each month.
Arts & Crafts - Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for kids 6 to 14 years old. FREE!
Halloween Carnival & Costume Contest - Friday, October 24th, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Twenty five cents per ticket - All ages welcome! See the program guide for details!
History of the Center
The South Bay Recreation Center Gymnasium is dedicated to the memory of Robert Egger Sr., a dairy farmer, who in 1946 donated the land upon which the park now stands, to ensure the community would have park facilities at that location. Egger died in 1978 after living in and serving the South Bay community for 58 years.

From Interstate 5, take the Coronado Avenue exit and turn west on Coronado, then left on Saturn. The facility and adjacent parking lot are on the right.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 901 and 933/934.

Teen Center
Our new Teen Center is open Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for ages 9 to 17 years old.

Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except July and August).
