Recreation Center Hours
Monday: 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday & Thursday:
2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Facilities
One softball field, one outdoor basketball court, one tennis court, several picnic tables, gazebo and barbeque grills. There is a kitchen, two meeting rooms and a kiln room inside the center. Rooms and gazebo are available for rent, please call the center for details.

Upcoming Programs
Pee Wee Sports
Designed to teach youngsters the basic fundamentals and skills of Soccer, Basketball, Baseball and more in a fun environment. 5 weeks session starting November 7th to December 12th. Sessions will be held in both indoor and outdoor environment, depending on the weather. Currently taking registration.
Ages: 3 to 7 years old
Session: Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Youth Basketball League
Winter Youth Basketball Registration will begin October 27th and continue through December 4th. The season runs from January to March 2009. ALL players must have a valid birth certificate (proof of age) and completed liability waiver at the time of registration. Currently taking registration.
Ages: 6 to 14 years old (Birthday cutoff date is March 6, 2009)

History of the Center
The South Clairemont Recreation Center was constructed in 1957 to meet the recreational needs of the community. The swimming pool, located next to the center, was built in 1977.

From Interstate 5, take the Clairemont Drive exit (east) and proceed up the hill the center on is the right hand side.
From Genesee take Balboa Avenue (west) to Clairemont Drive. Turn left the center is on the left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 27, 50 & 105.
