Features of the Skate Park

With 40,000 square feet of concrete, this skate park has something for everyone, regardless of age or skill level, including a "street course" design which features a combination bowl, along with numerous handrails, ledges, blocks, a pump bump and an octagon volcano.


History of the Skate Park
One of the most awesome and affordable skateboard parks in Southern California, Robb Field is the first skateboard park constructed and operated by the City of San Diego, designed with input from top local skateboarders. The Robb Field Skate Park opened in February 2000.


Directions and Bus Route

Map this location

Interstate 8 West to the Sunset Cliffs Blvd. exit (the end of the freeway), left on Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Turn right on West Point Loma Blvd. Turn right on Bacon Street. The park is at the end of the street.

Located at the entrance to Ocean Beach, the Skate Park is accessible by bus via San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (SDMTS) bus routes 35 & 923.

Robb Field Sk8 Class
Skate class on Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Class for the novice skater or the experience skater who wants to learn a new trick.  $90 for six classes

*Pads & helmets are provided and skaters must be members of the Skate Park.

Know the Rules!

All skaters, regardless or age or skill, must:

•  have a day pass or three month multiple use pass;
•  wear protective gear, which is available for checkout with an ID (keep in mind the fact that supplies are limited);
•  have a signed release of liability form (by parent or legal guardian) if under the age of 18.
