Recreation Center Hours
Monday , Tuesday & Thursday:
12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday: Noon to 8:00 p.m.
Friday: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Facilities
A gymnasium for basketball, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, a multi purpose field, a children's play area and a community building for classes and meetings.

The following parks and athletic areas can be reserved by calling the center: Olive Grove Park, East Clairemont Athletic, North Clairemont Park, Mt. Acadia Park, Mt. Etna Park, Gershwin Park, and MacDowell Park.

What's Coming

The North Clairemont Recreation Center offers Youth/Adult Self Defense classes, Tennis lessons, a Tiny Tot program for 3 to 5 year olds, Youth Basketball Leagues, Youth Soccer Leagues, Youth Flag-Football Leagues, as well as Adult Coed/Men's Soccer, Adult Men's/Women's Basketball, and Adult Flag Football Leagues.  Take a look at our current program to see how we can help you recreate.

Winter Youth Basketball Registration will begin October 27th and continue through December 4th, 2008. The season is runs from January to March 2009. The League fills up quickly, so sign up early. ALL players must have a valid birth certificate (proof of age) and completed liability waiver at the time of registration. No Exceptions this season.

Adult Sports Leagues - Take a look at our program guide for exciting new Adult Leagues starting soon.  North Clairemont has Men and Women's (30+) Basketball League, Mens / Coed Soccer Leagues and Coed Flag-Football Leagues offered here at the park.

North Clairemont is offering three new classes this season.  Maximum K9 dog obedience classes, Baton Twirling, and a new Basketball Skills program for ages 6 to 10 years old.  Look at the program guide for more infomation on times and dates.


History of the Center

The park land was acquired in 1954 and the recreation center was built in 1960. An official dedication ceremony took place in 1974.


Directions and Bus Route

Map this location

From Interstate 805 take the Clairemont Mesa Boulevard West exit to Genesee Avenue. Turn left on Genesee and then right on Bannock. The center is on the left.

From Interstate 5 take State Route 52 East to the Genesse exit, turn left (south) onto Genesee.  Turn right on Bannock Ave. The center will be on the left.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 41, 44 & 50.
