Recreation Center Hours
Monday through Thursday:
2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Facilities
Outdoor basketball courts, lighted softball fields, picnic tables, a children's play area, a gymnasium, auditorium, swimming pool and a community building with rooms available for rent. Call the center for details.

History of the Center
The Allied Gardens Recreation Center was built in 1961 as a result of strong community organization and effort. At one time the site held two large radio towers that belonged to the Marietta Broadcasting Company. When the towers were re-located, the land was leased to the City. Soon after, the land was purchased and the recreation facility was built on it.

From Interstate 8 take the Waring Road Exit to Greenbrier Avenue. Turn left on Greenbrier. The center is at the end of the road.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 14.
