Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant

Future Treatment Options at Point Loma

The City of San Diego's Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant has a Modified Permit (also known as the "waiver") to treat the region's wastewater at an Advanced Primary Treatment level and to discharge the treated wastewater into the ocean through a 4.5 mile long outfall. The waiver must be renewed every five years. The next renewal is due in June 2008.

Please take a few moments to read about future treatment options at the Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant.
