Construction Management Services
Field Engineering typically provides inspection (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) of work on City property or within the City's right of way. These projects are either permitted work, subdivision work or Capital Improvement Projects. Some of the services which an inspector (Resident Engineer) provide include but are not limited to the following:
- Familiarize themselves with construction documents
- Coordinate & facilitate the preconstruction meeting
- Prepare the Weekly Statement of Working Days Report
- Enforce contract required environmental compliance
- Enforce contract required traffic control compliance
- Enforce dust, storm water discharge and noise compliance
- Prepare Daily Reports
- Maintain complete files
- Respond, log & process Requests For Information (RFI's)
- Facilitate project coordination meetings at site
- Monitor project schedule
- Process progress payments monthly/billing
- Receipt, log, review, and distribute submittals
- As-built progress check to be done monthly including close-out as-builts
- Development Service Dept. field inspection and special inspection coordination
- Construction photos and video
- Process and monitor change orders
- Coordinate construction completion walk-through, establish punch-list, Complete and process Notice of Completion forms
- Monitor Warranty services
- Process EO paperwork & ensure that correct wage rates are being used/may include interviews
- RE to ensure the ADA and Drug-free Poster is placed
- Complete and process contractor evaluation performance forms
- Monitor landscape maintenance period
